Good doctors but not dentists
I chose to go to Mc Arthur Family Health Care because they had a sliding scale based off my income since I have now insurance, and because of my low income. I called and made an appointment in need of an extraction, and the next available appointment open was for two weeks after the day i called. So I waited, then I ended up with an abscessed tooth, and in a lot of pain. I gave them all the information needed for the sliding scale and they said it would be $35 for the office visit and $35 for a filling or extraction, and root canals aren't included. So they took me back and did a full mouth x-ray, and seated me in one of there rooms. The dentist came in and looked at my x-ray and said "wow you've had a lot of work done on your teeth", making me feel upset, like when someone says, "you don't need that Big Mac". Then she looks in my mouth and asked what tooth it is and point to it, so i did. Then tells me either I need a root canal or extraction, and I said an extraction because i couldn't afford a thousand dollar bill. Then she replies, "we'll I don't have enough time to do it come back in a week", so already being upset after the comment she made, and not getting my tooth pulled, I check out. Now remind you I was told it would be only $35 for the office visit, they charged me $41.
I think that they are fast getting you in there & they really care about your teeth and are very friendly and will work with your schedule!
